introducing vetch

i’m very pleased to be bringing vetch to life. this felt like a good moment to share who we are, how this started, and where it’s headed.

my background is in fine art, sculpture, and jewelry. i’ve spent years tinkering, making objects by hand, and just as many years searching for jewelry to love that felt specific, grounded, and a little off to the side of what everywhere else has. pieces that didn’t try too hard... but also weren’t trying to be fit in. honest and unique.

at some point, the solution became obvious. if I couldn't find what i was looking for, i could make it myself.

charms felt like the right place to begin. small and personal objects that carry meaning and look cool without needing an explanation. from there, birds emerged naturally. birdwatching has long been a hobby of mine, something i appreciate for its ability to create joy at any time, and by leaning in to it i found myself paying more attention to the extraordinary moments i began to find everyday. i’m drawn to individual species, their habits, their oddities... the way something so common can still feel completely singular if you look long enough.

vetch’s first collection was sculpted by hand in plasticine clay, one bird at a time. What you see here is the result of that process. there are many more ideas waiting... birds and otherwise... and this is only the beginning.

i’m excited to share this work with you. thanks for being here.
